Pre-K Nature Play is an experiential learning program. Early exposure to nature can enhance cognitive functioning, social and emotional development and offers youngsters the opportunity for physical activity, helping develop fine and gross motor skills.

Learning modules include:
-Nature Walk Activities
-Insect/Invertebrate Hunts
-Feathered Friends Discoveries
-Beekeeping/Honey Harvesting
-Flowering & Flowerless Plants
-Eco-Art

We use the tranquil farm environment and our surrounding natural world to support creative play, encouraging a sense of curiosity and connection to the outdoors. Providing children with opportunities to explore their natural world through hands-on activities and woodland adventures sparks imagination and fosters an appreciation for natural spaces.

Our outdoor classroom gives children the space to explore and use all their senses to see, feel, hear, smell and touch as they experience the wonder of the outdoors.

Carlisle Academy Waiver - Must be completed & e-mailed to lskoglund@kennebunkmaine.us the week before the program begins.

Program Information
  • Parents will transport their child to this program and stay on site, parent participation is required.
  • Please be aware the Carlisle Academy at Spring Creek Farm is a working farm with large animals, equipment, hay, etc. Participants are expected to wear proper footwear and to notify the coordinator of any possible allergen issues.
